Author: Anne Sibert and David Rose.

1.ORGANIZACIÓN (departments, tutors or teachers responsible, contributing): • Anne Sibert
Blanco. Tutor 3 º of Primary. • David Rose Novalbos
. Professor of Biology and Geology. GLOBE responsible.
• Sonia Lechuga Cercas. Professor of Physics and Chemistry. GLOBE responsible herein.

2.DESTINATARIOS (courses and number of students):
3 º of Primary. 21 students.

3.JUSTIFICACIÓN (how comes the need for this activity):
item 8 The Environmental Awareness of Primary 3 rd is the Water Cycle and physical states that can be found in our Planet Earth.
was thought that students might experience in a more practical through the observation of experiments with water state changes, the importance of this substance. It asked for cooperation to the ESO Science faculty with the intent to perform some activity in the Science Lab. GLOBE
This activity is being studied as a set of correct learning content which will be of great importance in understanding the environmental content from the point of view of environmental education, related to the care of water, and responsible use assimilate than is absolutely necessary for life to exist today and in the future.

4.OBJETIVOS (those who want to achieve with this activity):
• Understand how changes occur and water status in a practical way to distinguish what each of those states.
• Assimilate the water cycle and related to the different states found in nature for each of the phases of that cycle.
• Understand the need for water as an essential element for life and the need for responsible use of it.
• Show a respectful attitude towards nature and its elements (like water) so that we promote environmental awareness so necessary to evolve properly caring for and preserving our planet Earth, as a heritage and inheritance of all future generations. The Earth is the legacy left us by our ancestors in usufruct, until they reach our next generations. It is a legacy that we enjoy and share for legársela back to our children and grandchildren.
• Visit and use a Science Lab.

Image Cycle Water is drawn from the textbook of Natural Sciences 1 º ESO publisher Teide and the image of Changes of State has been adapted from another slide by Sonia .

5.CONTENIDOS (major content to work or strengthen):
• Water on Earth: salt water, freshwater, groundwater, snow / ice.
• The states of water: liquid, solid and gas. Process state changes.
• The water cycle, in relation to the different states of water.
• Raising awareness of water use.
• Science Lab. Laboratory Standards.

6.METODOLOGÍA (how to work the contents):
• Experiences in the Laboratory.
• Active dialogue with its central and guided observation of students. • Motivation continuous
arousing curiosity and reflection. • Motivation involved
leave class and go into a laboratory.

7.Place OF CONDUCT (Inside or outside the school):
• Hall of reference.
• Science Laboratory building ESO.

8.RECURSOS MATERIALS (those who need or would like to use):
• Ice, ice tongs and trays in the laboratory.
• Liquid water, plastic cups (tube, transparent) and funnels.
• Jar with white balls (to represent the states of matter).
• Mercury thermometers and electronic-digital.
• Kitchen, to warm pots and gloves for warmth.
• Flashlight (for lighting "clouds" in the lab off).
• Beaker (Heat resistant) and latex gloves (to swell).
• Distillation Assembly (to simulate the Water Cycle).
• soda cans (for implosion). Projection display
• Water Cycle.
• DVD with hearings on the water (storm, dribbling, etc.)..
• Camera.

9.Time ACTIVITY (the time available for teachers):
• Start time: 10:00
• End Time: 11:15 h.
• Total Activity Time: 1 hour 15 minutes.

10.PREVISIÓN TRANSPORT:
not need transportation. ECONOMIC 11.PRESUPUESTO

:
Ice: € 7.80

12.CUALQUIER OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:
is a GLOBE activity, if you are interesting and useful, would be extended to other courses or levels education.
